To help travelers truly appreciate the Land of the Maya, Bella Guatemala Travel has created an itinerary that is filled with stimulating activities and locations. The itinerary includes participating in hands-on textile workshops; a visit to dedicated women weavers and artisans in the remote Mayan Highlands; and a boat cruise across breathtaking Lake Atitlan to visit the celebrated weaving collectives found in the surrounding communities. The tour also includes a visit to spectacular Tikal National Park, one of the most renowned archaeological sites in Central America.
Throughout the trip, travelers will have a myriad of opportunities to explore on their own, including wandering the cobblestone streets of UNESCO World heritage designated Antigua with its fascinating seventeenth century ruins; and shopping at markets for handcrafted wares such as jewelry, textiles, pottery, woodcarvings, leather goods and more.
